These three posters were designed to bring attention to the injustices women face at the hands of men around the world every day—in terms of unequal, gender-biased laws, and inadequate protection under the law that compromises women's safety. My process is to look to everyday objects and see the irony and relationships in them and how they may be linked to ideas in a way that draws the audience's attention. Viewers have been very caught off guard by these posters.
This poster series earned Honorable Mention from Creative Quarterly 63 and a Silver Award in Graphis Competitions Poster Annual 2022. Still A Battleground was one of 150 selected posters by artists from 37 countries to be displayed in ARTtention's first International Exhibition on Women's Rights. The exhibition was shown in two locations in Prague, Czech Republic—the BKI Gallery (from May 5 thru May 24, 2024) and the National Technical Library (May 28 thru July 28, 2024). In 2025, the poster has been invited to be part of the The International Triennial of Graphic Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria.
